Quick Tips for Developing 
Media Literacy
1. Question what you see and hear. Whose point of view is being 
represented and why? Whose voices and images are included and 
whose are not?
2. Talk about the media-with friends, family and especially children.
3. Talk to the media. Tell producers, advertizers and distributors 
what you like and do not like.
4. Make your own media-at school, at work and for 
fun.
